Seasonal rain should start cooling off the water temperature. This will start the fall migration of snook in land from our passes and beach fronts. With season opening September 1, snook Fishing is a popular attraction with our clients in the next few months to come. The fall months mark the season for redfish schools. September is a great month to stalk schools of fish that have congregate on our local flats to fill up on food before a fall spawn. Large numbers of both breeder and immature fish can be found co-habitating on the same flats this time of year. Live bait works great, but with the aggressive attitude of these fish, artificial lures can be used to land multiple reds in one trip. As always, it's a great time to be fishing in South West Florida!
